“There is so much to learn in the wild,” said Hector, “about berries and stars and digging, it’s so much fun!  I hope I can come back and earn some badges.”
“So do I, my dear,” agreed Nannie, and she kissed him on the forehead.  Which reminded Hector about poor Bertie.  So he asked Nannie why wild rabbits don’t learn the Three Secrets of Success.
“I have never heard of those,” said Nannie, “what are they?”
Hector recited the three secrets for her…

Then he told her about Bertie and the Bully.

Nannie listened very carefully, and when she had heard the whole sorry tale she said, “we wild rabbits never have to send our children away, but perhaps we should all learn your three secrets.

Hector goes wild at Hampton Court

Hector is a happy house rabbit until Foxy chases him through the hedge and into the wild where he is saved by the wild rabbits of Hampton Court.

Across the Park moonlight danced and glinted on a golden statue above a silvery pond.
“That is the Fountain of Diana,” whispered Tom, “the Goddess and Protector of the Moon and the Creatures of the Wild.  All the statues in Hampton Court are magical.   And they do say that when an animal is in danger Diana’s statue comes to life, and darts like a streak of lightning through the trees, to raise the alarm.”
